The Convergences 2015 main Goals

Launched in 2008, Convergences 2015 is the first permanent platform in Europe dedicated to international cooperation, microfinance, social business, the sustainable development, to social entrepreneurship and to a social and solidarity-based economy aimed at reducing poverty and promoting the MDGs.

• Advocacy: to promote ideas and thoughts with decision makers and the general public
• Action: to encourage the creation of projects and new collaborations around those themes  

Our action

• An international network

Convergences 2015 is a permanent and independent organization. It associates its network of actors, supported by technical partners and international correspondents.

• An international annual Forum

The “Davos of international solidarities” with over 3,500 participants, the annual Forum is a high-level professional gathering, and an opportunity to raise public awareness.

• Events throughout the year

Convergences 2015, in collaboration with its partners, organizes debates, conferences, presentations and meetings for the public and professionals.

• A public campaign

Convergences 2015 supports the Time is Running campaign, dedicated to the promotion of the MDGs towards the general public, through participative, web 2.0 mobilization campaigns and a development education initiative for school children.

• The Convergences 2015 Awards

With Le Monde newspaper and the European Commission, the Convergences 2015 Awards honor the best private, public and nonprofit partnerships with projects that contribute to poverty reduction.

• Publishing studies and reports

Studies developed by our working groups, in collaboration with our technical partners, are aimed at the general public and professionals, and are carried forward by national and international media.
